The hard work continues! Congratulations to our Business & Education Academy seniors who have stepped up to the challenge and completed their Journey to Success Defenses! These Dragons shared their growth over the past four years, from problem-solving and leadership to communication and collaboration skills. Each presentation means students get to look back on the moments that defined their high school experience and prove just how they are ready for the future. The countdown is on, Class of 2026. Our Admin Team, Counselors, and Safety Administrators treated our Doss faculty and staff to a Fish Fry Friday to celebrate all of the hard work our teachers and staff have been putting in over the past couple of weeks! It was a great way to end a long week of testing!

Congratulations to the first 14 seniors from our TEC Academy who successfully completed their Journey to Success Defenses of Learning this week! These Dragons showcased meaningful projects, experiences, and achievements that demonstrate how they’ve grown as prepared learners, collaborators, communicators, innovators, and globally competent citizens. We are incredibly proud of the preparation and reflection our students brought to this milestone. One step closer to graduation, Class of 2026. Keep going, Dragons.

We are proud to recognize Mr. Alexander Aldridge, one of our outstanding educators, for achieving National Board Certification (NBCT), one of the highest professional distinctions in the teaching profession.

This milestone reflects Mr. Aldridge’s dedication to excellence in teaching, his commitment to continuous professional growth, and the positive impact he continues to make in the lives of our students every day. National Board Certification is earned through a rigorous process that recognizes accomplished teachers who meet the highest standards of the profession.

☀️ SUMMER CAMP KICKOFF EVENT THIS WEEKEND | Looking for summer camps and enrichment opportunities for your child? Join us for the 21st Annual JCPS Family Resource & Youth Services Centers Summer Camp Kickoff this Saturday, March 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the JCPS Center for Professional Learning (3903 Atkinson Square Dr.).

This FREE event connects JCPS families with a wide variety of summer camps and programs from across Jefferson County. Families can meet providers, ask questions, and enter drawings for summer camp scholarships.

All JCPS families are welcome!

UPDATES: Softball Tryouts

Rocky Durham, a Doss graduate 1997, won wrestling official of the year. Dragon Nation is proud of your accomplishments!

Our Multilingual Freshmen practiced expressive language by writing and acting out scripts for scenes from Romeo and Juliet. There was a lot of hard work and laughter involved.

In December, a team made up of Doss Marketing seniors Dawntay Porter, Indiana Dawson, and Lorsten Silbanez won first place in the JuniorAchievement Stock Market Challenge. Today, they were invited downtown Louisville to spend the day shadowing investment brokers, data research analysts, AI specialists, portfolio managers, and learning from the founders of River Road Asset Management group. The knowledge, hospitality, and opportunities provided to our students today were second to none. Thank you to Andrew Beck, co-founder, and his HR team (Liz and Morgan) for taking the time to invest in our local schools and students today. Louisville is fortunate to have a company like River Road in her downtown area.
