Job Fair. Hiring Bus & Van Drivers, Friday, March 6, 2026. 10 a.m. 2 p.m., VanHoose Education Center, 3332 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY 40218.

Barret will be in NTI status today (2/4), which means students will learn virtually at home. All students are expected to bring their Chromebooks to and from school each day, so they should have them at home. Assignments will be posted in all Google Classrooms by 8:30 AM. Students must complete all work assigned. Students must complete the attendance form to be counted present for the day. We hope everyone stays safe and warm. Please see your email for more details.

Due to the additional snow and ice on roads and sidewalks throughout Jefferson County, JCPS will utilize a Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Students should follow their school’s established NTI protocols. NTI days are recognized as standard instructional days and will not extend the school calendar.

All after school athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled for Wednesday. If there are any changes to the YMCA CEP program, families will be notified by YMCA CEP.

Barret will operate on a 2-hour delay tomorrow. Doors will open at 9:00 AM. Please do not drop off students early because the buliding will not be staffed, and we don't want anyone to have to wait out in the cold. Thank you for your flexibility and support! Be safe and we will see you on #TheHill!

DELAYED START| All JCPS schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Monday, February 2, 2026. Early Childhood classes are canceled for the day. All after school athletic events and extracurricular activities remain as scheduled. There is no change to dismissal times.

A delayed start will allow students to be at bus stops and walking to school in the daylight.

NTI DAY | Today, our teams spent the day evaluating road conditions and school campuses across the District. While many main roads remain in good shape, several side streets and neighborhood roadways are still icy.

These conditions have led us to utilize another Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) day on Friday, January 30. Students should follow their school-specific NTI instructions. NTI days are recognized as standard instructional days and will not extend the school calendar.

All athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
